ADJUSTING SCREEN AREA (pc)

MAC VERSION

Your Computer's display resolution must be set to at least 1024x768 to properly view these presentations. The following instructions show you how to do this on a PC running Windows:

1. From the Start menu select "Control Panel"

2. In Control Panel, select "Display"

3. In the Display window select the "Settings" tab

4. In the Settings window move the slider in the "Screen area" box until it says 1024 by 768 pixels. If you do not see any option higher than 640 by 480 or 800 by 600, it means that your graphic card or monitor cannot handle high resolutions. This can happen with older pieces of hardware and you will be unable to see the presentation screen in one piece. You will have to use the scroll bar to see everything.

5. (OPTIONAL STEP) You can adjust the colour depth so that your screen will display more colours. Generally "High Color" and "True Colour" are preferable, however they require more power from the graphics card. If you notice a dramatic slow down in preformance, change this back to it's previous setting.

To change the Colour depth, just click and select a new option from the "Colors" box

6. Click "Apply"

7. Click "okay"

8. Click "yes" if everything looks fine. If your screen behaves erratically or you see nothing at all, just wait for 15 seconds and your display settings will return to what they were previously. You can retry the settings with a lower "Color" setting (see step 5). If your display adapter or monitor cannot support 1024 by 768 resolution it means that you will be unable to see the presentation screen in one piece. You will have to use the scroll bar to see everything.
